Everybody dies, Tracey. Someone's carrying a bullet for you right now, doesn't even know it. The trick is to die of old age before it finds you.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Well, Whole Foods had a delicious camembert if you are looking for something to go on the triscuits.

ooh

ION, the heat, my god, the heat. Between today, and leaving the opera the other night and exclaiming "it's cold" as I walked outside, confirms the fact that I'm really a San Franciscan now--temperatures must remain between 60 and 75.

Ah. There's the problem. It's only high 80s on my little hill, if that, but I hear it's hotter elsewhere.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

It's only mid-80s here, but I'm never happy once it hits 80.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Thanks for the compliments on the name! He had to live up to his predecessors.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

It hit 95 degrees here today, according to my car. It's the end of September, FFS. If it gets over 75, I'm uncomfortable.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

It's in the high 80s here too. I really hope the weather forecast is right and tomorrow is more seasonal.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Haaaa. I am soaking up the heat like a heat-retaining camel, but I did refuse to go for a run today on the grounds of it being too hot and sunny outside.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

We're all melty at Chez Zmayhem and Matilda collapsed in a puddle of tears when we took away her Dibs.

I'm trying to restrain myself from having a very cold vodka tonic Right Now.

Dinner will be salad, I think.

information libertarian

I laugh hollowly at those of you in SF who are melting at 85 degrees. Signed, 91 degrees but only 34% humidity, and in the shade with the breeze it's positively balmy.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I've decided I prefer Central Florida humidity to NYC humidity as the former is much much cleaner humid air. The perpetual layer of sweat is far better than the perpetual layer of sweaty grime.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I have been doing closet organizing and in the process emptied out 2 more large plastic bins that were in the floor of my room. YAY!

We bought curtain panels for my bedroom today, they were cheaper than we could sew. I haven't yet taken to the room to see if I like them, but mac is about to watch a movie, so maybe I will soon.

also? Go Rangers!
