We're still working on a plan, but so far it involves being sent to prison and becoming somebody's bitch.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I recorded Lone Star! Does that count?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I kinda didn't watch Lone Star because the guy isn't as cute as Matthew Bomer. Sorry if it gets cancelled. I just have a high conman bar now.

Did Bones just put a literal elephant in the room? Also, why do I watch the show? I keep forgetting I don't like anyone on it. Must focus on that and stop recording it.

Hmm. Am I really boring if I get duck curry for the third Friday in a row? But otherwise I have to think. I don't want to think.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

When did networks start getting so impatient that they cancelled series after one or two aired eps? I can think of any number of series that take a while to get into but are excellent. Hell, I stuck with Firefly at first only because it was Joss. It's hard for me to see now, but back then I really was a bit disappointed with it compared to Buffy/Angel. But I think it's because it's SO character-driven and you need at least a couple episodes to get into someone's character.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Also, why do I watch the show?

I feel the same way. And about House, too. We'll see how things stack up when I'm out less during the week, but working every day.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Viva Laughlin taught them that sometimes, dead is better.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Get the duck curry! How can that be boring?

I decided not to watch Lone Star because the write ups kept referring to Dallas and downplaying the con man angle. And yet, I am still catching up on stuff recorded on Wednesday. Too much TV.

I don't understand why the Dallas comparison. I mean, sure, Texas, oil, family, but still.

Is it not a soapy drama? That was the implication. I may rethink my watching though that would mean more tv, so I probably shouldn't, regardless.

I don't know -- I think the conman angle looms pretty large. I feel like it's played more straight than a soap? Or something? Keep in mind, I watched it in the middle of an orgy of tv yesterday, so who knows what it's really like. It was less sudsy than Undercovers?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Good news: After 45 minutes of firm negotiation by my husband, Direct TV is going to upgrade our DVR to HD for free instead for the $200 they originally quoted. (Sample line: "If you truly value my loyalty, then why won't you give me the same deal you give brand new customers?")

Bad news: They are doing it on Sunday and we have 48 hours to watch all the stuff piled up on our present DVR, which is, well, more than 48 hours.
