Zoe: Don't think it's a good spot, sir. She still has the advantage over us. Mal: Everyone always does. That's what makes us special.

I knew someone in college who was 10 months older then her sister.

I've met plenty of people who are 11 months apart.

Trust my rage

(Personally, I cannot IMAGINE, from a time, energy, or desire perspective, as well as the fact that I had amenorrhea from breastfeeding until my kids were each 15 months old).

For me, it was 9 months and 18 months.

information libertarian

Breastfeeding's effect on fertility is highly variable on an individual basis.

(Also, what Jessica said.)

(Also also, I seem to have forgotten how to type English today.)

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am debating getting dressed and driving to the store both because it's way past time to get out for a bit, and because I am craving chocolate chip cookies.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Breastfeeding doesn't necessarily prevent ovulation. It's only marginally more effective BC than the rhythm method.

Oh, huh. But the rhythm method can be fairly effective itself, no? Given a regular cycle and a woman paying attention.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

For values of "paying attention" which include charting cervical mucus and temperature. NSM just watching the calendar. (And after pregnancy you won't have had a cycle to keep track of for almost a year, so the first time you ovulate afterwards you won't know it for at least 2 weeks.)

Punishingly Intricate

And when breastfeeding wasn't so popular?

My brother and I are 15 months apart because my mother's understanding was that you couldn't get pregnant while breastfeeding.

A couple of kids I nannied for were 9 months apart. (The second did come a little early, but not by much compared to the mother's other pregnancies.)

Yeah, my cycle is so irregular my My Days app tells me I won't even have one for the month of November.

Huh. You can tell I have no experience of life without birth control paranoia.
