So I found one of my college roommates on facebook. And against most odds, she's actually in the same obscure business I am, but for earth missions. We probably compete for funds at the NASA annual review. What are the odds? She was a geology major.

We so need to talk shop. And possibly collaborate. This is kinda cool but also scary.

I...ended up searching OKCupid non-locally for interesting people. Apparently all the hot butch queer women are in OAKLAND. WTF, world?

I am also getting hungry, so that salmon is sounding tastier. Sorta. So is everything else. Anything else. I also have an apple and peanut butter, or gouda...hrm.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

That is cool sarameg.

And Dana, the SO thought they should have gone for two on that one.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

And Dana, the SO thought they should have gone for two on that one.

Hmm. Yeah, I can see that point.

But they just stopped them on third down, so good.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Nice return, too.

information libertarian

So, while I was at work tonight, mr. flea let the kids watch a NOVA on the Teneriffe Air Disaster. Dillo, being 4, was unfazed. I don't know if we'll ever get Casper on an airplane again, though. Apparently it was worse than the Nature Documentary In Which Wild Horses Die.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I have...hot sauce. Um. What is sweet chili sauce? Can I get it at trader joes? Cause I'm as close to them as you are.

You *can* get it at TJ's because I bought a bottle elsewhere about a week before they started carrying it.

(OOH! If only Trader Joes' were the vortex of transport! Then I could be all "here! Have some raspberries, because I have many!" and you could hand me chili sauce and explain your salmon plan)

That would be AWESOME!

I have too much chili sauce and look balefully at the non-TJ's version every time I open my fridge. Because I bought a large bottle.

So for salmon - you can slice a tomato and an onion and place a piece of each on foil (or not, if you don't have them), place salmon on top, pour sweet chili sauce over the top, top with a basil leaf or two if you have said foliage. Another slice of tomato if that appeals but I never do that part. Fold up the foil. Bake in oven at a salmon temp for a salmon time. Unfold and nom. Over rice.

UNBELIEVABLE.

God, this is tiring.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

So, while I was at work tonight, mr. flea let the kids watch a NOVA on the Teneriffe Air Disaster.

I am so glad I didn't know that was on or I would have been compelled to watch. My impending flight of doom is in two weeks and that might have been the excuse I needed to cancel.
