That's the thrill of living in the Hellmouth! There's a veritable cornucopia of fiends and devils and ghouls to engage ... Pardon me for finding the glass half-full.

Because books.

Yeah, I got all of it, so it can't be too geeky. It is funny, though.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

That would be such a good song title: "Elevator Ladies Judge You."

I counter your Russian Lord of the Rings with live-action (disturbing) Simpsons.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Uh, it's not uber-geeky to find this funny, right? Tasteless, sure, but only mildly geeky.

It's pretty geeky. Entertainment-press geeky, mostly, I think. But still. I can't believe the shit I think "everyone knows" that other people have never heard of.

And I swear a) I'm not uber-geeky (HONEST)

  • *cough** Of course not.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I'm about to head to the airport to fly to LA for a work presentation at 9am tomorrow morning.

Naturally, my boss didn't suggest I do anything to compensate for working on a holiday weekend, but, since her boss assumed I would take an extra day off next week, I am going to.

On the upside, I get to spend time with Pix and Drew, and wish Sean a Happy Birthday in person.

You can all be jealous now.

(Except for the work part.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I figure not everyone knows "I'm the goddamn Batman" is an actual quote from a comic, but hey. Still funny, right?

Also, Hec, have you met the internet? I'm so mild. I don't even collect comics regularly. Just...comic stuff.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Uh, it's not uber-geeky to find this funny, right?

Well, you kind of need to have read The Dark Knight Returns to really get it...

I think it's really funny because it's Bale, though, and you know people don't know he's actually batshit.

If I'm not mistaken you have Legolas' knives hanging on your wall.

And they're sharp.

But...okay...that's like a comic that non comic people read, right?

Fuck, I still think it's only geeky.

If I'm not mistaken you have Legolas' knives hanging on your wall.

Aha! No, I don't. Okay, I have scale models hanging on my wall. The actual size knives are on my bookshelf.

But, honestly, that's a knife fetish speaking first and foremost.

WHATEVER. I still think I'm not that extreme.
