I spent the day hating the universe. Now I'm home and still hating. I don't want to do anything I need to do tonight. What I want is to order an enormous pizza and consume it while watching a MythBusters marathon during which I magically will lose 10 pounds, feel as though I had an extremely refreshing nap, and discover that a kind fairy has rewritten the hot mess of a story that's due tomorrow.

I've gotten my cat to finally shut up by realizing that I hadn't fed her yet tonight (getting home in mid-afternoon will do that to my schedule). Turns out her food dish still had a goodly portion of kibble left, but she was being bitchy since it wasn't fresh crunchies. She can be such a diva!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
I had a bad night last night, as my 8-months-pregnant assistant went in for a check-up yesterday and they informed her that her body was stressed and she had to have the baby RIGHT AWAY, even though it was underweight. It was supposed to be her first day training of her replacement, who I started training and tried very hard to be welcoming to, despite having a huge headache due to worry.
Finally heard this morning--Maggie Maureen was born at 6:30am. She is a tiny 3 lbs 11 oz and will be in NICU for a few weeks. The upside is that she is very healthy--she is breathing and eating like a champ. So all looks well.
