Much ~ma for Noah, yikes.
Natter 66: Get Your Kicks.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, pandas, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
also hoping Noah's doing better today. Poor you guys!
Sigh. I've been twinned.
Today is K's first day back after 6 off to care for Grace and she's been up since yesterday at 4:00 AM.
Noah was in Urgent Care for 7 hours. He slept for about 2 and when he got home he wanted to (and is still playing). They did a blood draw and a strept culture and everything came back negative. The doc said it wasn't bacterial and to check in with the pediatrician today (which is fine as Grace has a 1:15 with HER pediatrician today, and we have no nursing today because of the doc appt).
He finally wanted to watch Ni Hao Kai Lan so we got the DVD started and I started doing the dance of Grace-getting ready. She was sitting next to Noah watching TV and I looked over after a few minutes. She was lying down on her tummy. Hmmm. Weird. She never does that.
What happened? She had a pooh-explosion, in like a 360 degree way. Oddly, this is good as she hadn't pooped in 3 days. So as I'm changing her diaper she starts crying until she gags (she hates diaper changes) and vomits. And then laughs at the mess she has made.
Noah meanwhile is trying to "help." Or lord.
I took everyone's temp and it's all normalish (Noah is down to about 99 which is close enough).
I have to go to the DMV. Do I take my sicks kids and go today? Yes. I think so.
In a "man I feel old" moment, I had accidentally used the term book-on-tape when I mentioned the audiobook idea to Kelly. Her response was "but mom, I don't have a tape player". Yeah, yeah, go dial the phone or something.
I hope Noah is doing a lot better and that ita's family is still safe.
I read about the shit going down in Kingston last night, and was hoping her family was elsewhere.
Meant to say, ita, I hope your family is okay. Just reading about it sounds awful.
Noah is down to about 99 which is close enough
YAY!!!
Yikes, Kat, that's a particularly rough 24 stretch. Hope everybody gets healthy quick.
Thanks for all of our well wishes. A fever that can't be controlled through the usual measures (tylenol, cold baths, popsicles, cool clothes) are scary to me.
The Grace pooh/vomit fiasco, is not particularly a sick, just a feature.
Kat, it sounds like you have had quite a day already. I'm glad Noah is feeling better, and I hope that your day improves significantly.
