I was catching up on an issue of The Week magazine and was just pissed off at everything!! I hate the world and the news reporting covering it.

AAAARRRGGGGGHHHH!!!
If it turns out he does need glasses, he's going to be amazed at how badly he was seeing before.
I remember getting my first pair and being just SHOCKED at how crisp everything was. I'm pretty sure I didn't know traffic signs had words on them.
Well, she said she's still all for Christ, just not extreme politically right-wing Christians. Hey, me too!
Me, too. Of course, I'm a pagan who just happens to be a fan of His work, so clearly that's a movement with a lot of wriggle room.
I looked at the room FULL of toys and books, which refelcts the one in PA, and thought about his birthday trip coming up to the beach next week, and his expensive private school, and I'm afraid I was less than sympathetic.
Kids have no frame of reference. They really *don't* get how lucky they are. And boy is it hard to explain it without getting a little "wise up, dude".
Signed,
Been There and Sympathize With You
You're totally doing it right, Erin!
And as a wearer of glasses since I was five, I'm afraid I don't have any sympathy for him, either. It's great to be able to see without squinting, and not having headaches is a good thing, too! I just hope he actually wears them and doesn't lose them. I remember when my sister started wearing glasses in junior high; she would keep them in her purse until she couldn't bear it any more and finally put them on when she couldn't read the chalkboard in class.
I got my first pair of glasses in third grade. Boy, did the world look better.
Also, I think I'm about to go to a meeting where I will suggest myself as a lead on a piece of work that I have done before, but hate the most. Ugh!!
AND my Outlook is hosed and not sending out proper reschedules so I left the CIO sitting by herself for fifteen minutes in a moved meeting.
Real slick, ita.
Hi back, Fred Pete. (And hi to everyone else, of course, esp DavidS who I thought had been spirited away by a disgruntled djinn.)
Aims, do you know what you have? It kinda sounds like a sinus infection to me, which I've never had solved without going to a doctor. I hope it's something minor you can fix at home... I hope you feel better in any case.
Stayed up way too late last night and did way too many things that hurt my RSI. I'm very bad about using ice, but I think ice packs shall be applied as soon as I've dressed. Today's Farmers Market day in So Pas so I think I'll cycle up there when it's time. I must try not to be too snarky or superior when comparing it with Berkeley's. A minority of farms at this market offer organic. Few can answer what cultivars of fruit they're offering. Still, So Pas didn't even have a farmer's market when I was growing up here so this is an improvement.
Wanna find some local gardeners for many reasons but it just occurred to me that even if we can't have a community garden here, we can still have a seed exchange (Seedy Sunday). I'd like to find folks to organize that with.
