Right, there comes a point where you have to either move on, or just buy yourself a Klingon costume and go with it.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Hi back, Fred Pete. (And hi to everyone else, of course, esp DavidS who I thought had been spirited away by a disgruntled djinn.)

Aims, do you know what you have? It kinda sounds like a sinus infection to me, which I've never had solved without going to a doctor. I hope it's something minor you can fix at home... I hope you feel better in any case.

Stayed up way too late last night and did way too many things that hurt my RSI. I'm very bad about using ice, but I think ice packs shall be applied as soon as I've dressed. Today's Farmers Market day in So Pas so I think I'll cycle up there when it's time. I must try not to be too snarky or superior when comparing it with Berkeley's. A minority of farms at this market offer organic. Few can answer what cultivars of fruit they're offering. Still, So Pas didn't even have a farmer's market when I was growing up here so this is an improvement.

Wanna find some local gardeners for many reasons but it just occurred to me that even if we can't have a community garden here, we can still have a seed exchange (Seedy Sunday). I'd like to find folks to organize that with.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Quote of the day: "'meetings' isn't exactly the word I'm looking for, but a regular iteration of when we get together to talk about things."

3 guesses as to the circumstances in which the above was uttered.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Was it in a semi-formalized work-driven discussion?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I got them in 7th grade, wore them for two weeks, and didn't get them again till I was a sophomore in college. I get it. But I also know that NOT making him go get the exam is not on.

His mom and dad both wear glasses, and D is blind as a bat without them, so I think he does need them.

M is a little spoiled, but I think it does him no favors to let this trend continue. He's mostly a sweetheart, but I worry that he is a bit young for his age, emotionally. Which is understandable, but...letting it continue is not the way to go.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I worry that he is a bit young for his age, emotionally

I remember having that same worry about my cousin when she was in junior high (she was still pretty clingy to her mom at 12 years old, which I thought was a bit strange). However, within four years, she was spending a full year abroad as an exchange student in Australia, and if she was still a bit young before she left, she came back completely different!

Coding and Sleeping

A weird thing about our kids is how little they've been into toys. We essentially stopped getting Leif any toys since he NEVER plays with them. Boxes, balls, sticks, tools he managed to get his hands on, sandbox, are more his things. He'd miss his computer though. Em isn't into toys either, but her books are a whole different matter.

Individually, they are both pretty good most of the time, but sibling conflict is a big issue.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Giving people practice at handling stuff before the stakes get all "OMG!" is good. I was like that so growing up felt like getting thrown in the deep end. I swam okay, but sometimes I wish I'd gotten better-prepared, somehow.

Does anyone know anything about the accommodations at Yosemite?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Does anyone know anything about the accommodations at Yosemite?

I've stayed at a couple of spots.
