And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Shotgun picks the music, driver shuts their cakehole?

More like whiny toddler in the back needs his TMBG or all of us suffer. Parenting rules go out the window when you're trapped together in a car for 18 hours.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Parenting rules go out the window when you're trapped together in a car for 18 hours.

FIVE DAYS.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Dude, United bumped me into First Class for my flight to Cancun tomorrow. Sometimes being a cog in Big Corporate America is a-okay.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Hoping Noah is much better this morning.

Coding and Sleeping

I'm rather a fan of audiobooks for my commuting. I alway rip them to MP3 so I don't have to mess with changing media.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Oh Kat, I hope Noah is doing better now or soon.

(I really thought I had said that earlier, but I never hit post, so it was just sitting there in another tab.)

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Sigh. I've been twinned.

Today is K's first day back after 6 off to care for Grace and she's been up since yesterday at 4:00 AM.

Noah was in Urgent Care for 7 hours. He slept for about 2 and when he got home he wanted to (and is still playing). They did a blood draw and a strept culture and everything came back negative. The doc said it wasn't bacterial and to check in with the pediatrician today (which is fine as Grace has a 1:15 with HER pediatrician today, and we have no nursing today because of the doc appt).

He finally wanted to watch Ni Hao Kai Lan so we got the DVD started and I started doing the dance of Grace-getting ready. She was sitting next to Noah watching TV and I looked over after a few minutes. She was lying down on her tummy. Hmmm. Weird. She never does that.

What happened? She had a pooh-explosion, in like a 360 degree way. Oddly, this is good as she hadn't pooped in 3 days. So as I'm changing her diaper she starts crying until she gags (she hates diaper changes) and vomits. And then laughs at the mess she has made.

Noah meanwhile is trying to "help." Or lord.

I took everyone's temp and it's all normalish (Noah is down to about 99 which is close enough).

I have to go to the DMV. Do I take my sicks kids and go today? Yes. I think so.
