This isn't a come-on. I'm in a very serious relationship with a landscape architect.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I had people in my house for dinner. It was just take-out, but everyone could sit and drink out of real glasses. Whoot!

What is even happening?

I miss you! I have the summer off, but I keep forgetting I have it off, so I keep thinking I'm procrastinating before a deadline, rather than being deadline-free.

ION, my Colin Jack Carter crush continues apace. We're about an hour late watching Eureka, but while Scott was otherwise occupied, I watched the first 20 minutes, umpteen times.

Amy, did Everlasting get published, and if so, was that the final title?

eta...

Lisa!

msbelle, I take it that you're in Texas, now. Here's to smooth unpacking and adjusting to you and Mac.

Nice, msbelle.

I can't tell you how much it means to me that when dad hears me, he also hears his sister. I mean...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Dag, msbelle, you really live there now!

Sara, the other day my grandmother called up to my parents' (where I was), my mother answered, and my grandmother said, "Ask your mother..." My mother was like, "Mom, it's me." Huh.

Because books.

Um ... The young adult book with the zombie? (I don't remember a project called Everlasting!) The YA is coming out next fall.

What is even happening?

It was the project where the husband in the very-in-love couple learned that the man had fathered a child years before. I think the woman used to be a dancer, but was injured, maybe in college.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

That DeKay and Bomer dancing video is adorable.

My sister, mother, and I all sounded pretty much the same on the phone. I've picked up a shadow of a southern accent that my sister doesn't have, but otherwise we're still pretty similar.

Because books.

Cindy, I'll email. And yes!

Our wings are not tired.

Laura -- harassment or affair? I know about the affair claims, but not the harassment. Have a link?

[link] Other links suggest that it may be an extortion attempt that didn't pan out. My sister sent me the link because she wanted me to make it not so.

Also, Cindy!

Cindy!

I've been mistaken for mom on the phone, but never by relatives. The Carol/Karen one is new. See, this is the thing about my dad: he keeps things close and reveals at the last minute. I've *never* known he thinks I sound like his sister. I've never known he thinks I resemble her And now? I do. (I am quite the mix of parental and maternal genes, though I do have more of the build of the paternal side. Just with maternal cheekbones and a mix of the noses-thank god!- and eyes no one in 2 generations has- everyone else is blue or brown).

My aunt is the spitting image of her mother (lower right) [link] (and in childhood [link] that was their immigration photo.)
