just looked at my bank account. I forgot to pay my NY mortgage and maintenance this month. opps. Just put in the mortgage payment. Must call management co about maintenance tomorrow. Other bills that I need to pay for July: internet, electricity, gas, phone. Guess I should forget about any other purchases for a bit.

Oh, that's what those squash are called.

Most of my baby squash seem to be rotting off the vine. I guess they didn't get pollinated...at least that's what the internets told me was wrong when the same thing happened to pumpkins last year. I guess I will have to try pollinating if I can catch any open blooms.

OTOH I have lots of zucchini growing. It's so exciting to see things grow.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Patty pan squash

Those are edible? I thought they were purely decorative.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

You can use pattypans anywhere you'd use zucchini - they're a mild summer squash. More pretty than flavor IMO.
