Loki got some serious extra attention tonight. Anna came over to ask a favor and he practically leapt into her arms. The two of them were so blissed out. He didn't want down when she was leaving. So cute how they clearly bonded when I was last out of town. I wonder if he remembers she's the nice lady that lets him hang out on the deck ALL DAY with her and explore her house.
I have so much summer squash and cucumber and onion and sweet corn. I'm not sure where to start.
Okay, I'm definitely starting with the sweet corn, but still.
Have I mentioned I love this neighborhood lately? A little over a year, and I'm so much a part of it.
My mother made this summer squash/zuke salad the other day that I actually liked, and I think was really a pickle. I need to get the recipe.
Roasted sweet corn SO GOOD. Now I'm eating yellow squash and cucumber crudités, sprinkled with black pepper and dill, served with hummus.
Today was the day for epic car repair visits, Kat. I spent 3 hours at Pep Boys getting new tires. Oy. Not cheap either, but at least now we have new tires.
Tomrrow? Car trip. Which reminds me--Lee, I'll be in your neighb soon.
Then my boss was telling me that there wasn't rascism because she thinks of Obama as white and she will not apologize to people for being white, because she can't help it.

not ded tired like a few days ago, but tired.
mac and the friend had a wee argument today and mac feels those very strongly so he's a bit on edge. We got library cards today. YAY! I unpacked a couple more boxes after work and got all my summer clothes hung up or put away. Well, all that are unpacked anyway. I have yet to find the majority of my summer work type clothes. Then dad and I went to IKEA to get a mattress and look around. I found a metal round table in the as in section for $13 so that is now on the back patio. Mattress is on mac's old bed getting ready for uncle G who arrives tomorrow.
My mom is going to come over tomorrow morning and help mac unpack a few of the boxes in his room. He is lost as to what to do.
Hopefully I can get up earlier than 8 tomorrow and get a couple of hours logged at work before people start emailing me. Then I can take a break and undo a few more boxes.
