Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

About how much should I expect to pay a moving company for a move from DC to central PA? I'm getting some estimates from moving companies, but I want to know a ballpark figure of what to expect.

from wayyyyyy back.. Birth certificate or valid passport are what count for proof of citizenship. But it has to be the original BC with seal or a certified copy.

mac had a fit with grandma today and "ran away" to the neighbor's curb. But then tried to escape the car and tore up a book. le sigh. We had first therapy with new lady and she is not as engaging as old lady, but I think that will be good for developing mac to more age appropriate expression and play.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That sounds...like it could be worse, in terms of acting out? Good luck with the transition.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Well, looks like the trip is a 'go'.

I'm thinking I'll try and get hold of some Harry Potter for the drive as I WILL BE GOING TO THE THEME PARK WHEN I AM DOWN THERE.

oh yeah Jesse, it could have been so much worse. The grandparents are just so not in touch with how things roll. I am trying not to be too @@, but they also have had obligations for at least part of every single day.

The grandparents will learn, sorry that they aren't cottoning on faster.

Don't know if I mentioned it (I could search) bought tickets up to see Carol in a week, next Tuesday. Out on the first flight, back on the last. I kinda hate waiting that long, but... It will be what it is. Dad is there starting tomorrow through Friday. He's got a long BWI layover, I've told mom to ask if he wants me to come up and hang. My bosses are all "take whatever you need, no questions asked." I kinda hope he opts to meet up with me, cause...well, I am worried about him. Mom called last night, he was in bed, asleep at 8:30. That's not usual. And he's not talking. He never does. He just gets really quiet when stuff really upsets him, and it really doesn't work for him. And the thing is, I can bully him into talking about feeeeeelings, and it's usually had a positive impact (he reacts differently to my mom doing the same. Ah, family dynamics.) And it is harder to do on the phone.

My cousin Karen sounds so much like her mother on the phone, I thought she was Carol.

Neighbor who I catsit for is gonna take me out for drinks in the near future. Probably good.

Phooey, friend just discovered she had $140 voucher for SW, if used by this friday. After I'd booked my tickets. Oh well.

Are they packing at all?
