At some point you'll need to take it again just to renew. I thought that was normal. Is California the only state that makes you retake the written?
And going back to this, I don't think I had to take any tests to renew my driver's license in NY or MA. Oh, except an eye test with my glasses on.

I got my NJ license in 1997, and have renewed it every four years since then. I had to take the eye test with my glasses on when I first got my license, but never when I renewed it. My license has the notation that means that I'm only legal to drive if I am wearing my glasses or contacts, but they never test to see if the ones I'm wearing actually fix my vision enough.
OMG, that graphic in the article is one they actually use.

The fucking nurse was late yesterday and the school bus had to circle back to drop off Grace on a second attempt. They tried TWICE today but the nurse was late AGAIN. And so they took her back to the school. We got a call from the principal who said if it happened again, Grace would be kicked out of the summer program.
Um.
Time to fire the nurse. I'm beyond mad (let's not address the fact that she's been coming at 1 and leaving at 8 for her "8 hours" because her nonsummer hours are usually 12-8.
