If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I can see that on you a hundred times more than the mom hair you linked.

Yes, but I seem to take picture #2 to a salon and come out with picture #1!!!! I realize I should possibly be willing to spend more than $50.00 on a haircut, but I am not.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Mmm, I have pretty much the same haircut now that I did in 1993, but I definitely cycled back to it through many changes.

Now, musically, i am stuck in the early 90's -- I have new stuff, for sure, but the mass of music I have and listen to is from then.

However, I am okay with not being super into music; books, now, I am far more adventurous with.

Because books.

Sophia, that's a really pretty bob. I'd like that for me, actually, if I ever grow my hair out again.

I think the problem is threefold: 1. I live in upstate NY, which is not exactly a hotbed of fashion 2. I am short, fat and have a round face, I and I think these hairdressers are taught that poofy, tallish hair is good for that and 3) I have really thick hair that gets big very easily, and hairdressers are loathe to thin the heck out of my hair, and enjoy having hair that is easy to poof.

The only problem is that big poofy hair looks horrible on me. Or it makes me feel like not me. Or something. I hates it.

Because books.

I get the same thing, Sophia. My hair is super short right now, but I DO NOT want it spiked up. And every time I get it cut, the hairdresser wants to gel it and spike it and spray it. NO, thank you.

Our wings are not tired.

How do people like Goldie Hawn's hair?

I like her hair for her (the long hair)-- unless she has had it cut recently?

In Laugh-In, I think she had short hair!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

In Laugh-In, I think she had short hair!

She did. A very mod cut for the era.

Layered bobs and angled bobs are kind of turning into the "mom hair" of this generation. It is a classic look, but you can expect many women will carry them on into their sixties while everybody else has moved onto some Lady Gaga inspired look.

I keep hearing rumblings from the world of high fashion that's emphasizing a return to curls and volume. Think of Amy Winehouse as John the Baptist, foretelling the Second Coming of Big Hair.
