Now tagless for your comfort.

JZ, my nephew used to crawl into my sister's bed and he always wrapped a hand in her long hair in his sleep. She said it was an awful way to wake up. The good news is that he outgrew the habit.

So Facebook tells me there was a small earthquake in DC. Did Cheney finally eat a baby and ascend?

Any chance of others horning in on the play date?

Absolutely.

Likewise, Plei, we'll be in your neck of the woods between 8/1-8/4 and would love to see Lily and Paul.

Then we'll be in Portland on 8/5 and 8/6 (staying at the Kennedy School, site of the best French Toast EVER!

Darb approach me when I was crouching down for the first time ever. I was picking up her poop, so not really the ideal time for dog kisses. @@

Best time ever! You are down low and not paying attention to her!

brenda, I've got a handout on helping dogs with noise aversion. Drop me an email (profile addy or at thedoggylama.com) and I'll send it off to you.

Fun trip, Kat. There will be pictures, I hope? Love the thought of seeing all the kids hanging and chilling. Well, and the adults, of course.

I've enjoyed my morning of coffee and internet. Now I have to go prepare for work, but I'm sort of OK with it now. Headache 50% gone.

OMG, I don't know why it never occurred to me to look it up before, but someone posted Precious Bane on YouTube!!! Excuse me while I freak out. I haven't seen this in going on twenty years, and it was one of my all-time favorite tv movies. Never been released on video here in the States, even though it stars Janet McTeer and a very young Clive Owen (this was the first thing I'd ever seen him in). I'll have to tell my sister, we were both big fans of it.

The director and two of the actors went on a few years later to work with Helen Mirren--the oh-so-sexy romantic lead in Precious Bane, John Bowe, played George Marlowe, the title character in Prime Suspect.

First of all, I have never read the Bacon Today blog, but this Rainbow of Bacon is just fucked up.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I woke up early with Dylan this morning and we made pancakes. (Note- the iPhone's autocorrect will turn a misspelled "pancakes" into "panties"). Sadly, we ate all our blueberries earlier in the week and so had to make do with maple syrup only. Tragic!!!

We are now zoning out with some Superwhy before our neighbor's birthday party. Fortunately it's in the backyard so we can leave at the last minute.
