Compassionately intolerant

Darb approach me when I was crouching down for the first time ever. I was picking up her poop, so not really the ideal time for dog kisses. @@

Best time ever! You are down low and not paying attention to her!

brenda, I've got a handout on helping dogs with noise aversion. Drop me an email (profile addy or at thedoggylama.com) and I'll send it off to you.

Fun trip, Kat. There will be pictures, I hope? Love the thought of seeing all the kids hanging and chilling. Well, and the adults, of course.

I've enjoyed my morning of coffee and internet. Now I have to go prepare for work, but I'm sort of OK with it now. Headache 50% gone.

OMG, I don't know why it never occurred to me to look it up before, but someone posted Precious Bane on YouTube!!! Excuse me while I freak out. I haven't seen this in going on twenty years, and it was one of my all-time favorite tv movies. Never been released on video here in the States, even though it stars Janet McTeer and a very young Clive Owen (this was the first thing I'd ever seen him in). I'll have to tell my sister, we were both big fans of it.

The director and two of the actors went on a few years later to work with Helen Mirren--the oh-so-sexy romantic lead in Precious Bane, John Bowe, played George Marlowe, the title character in Prime Suspect.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Oh no.

First of all, I have never read the Bacon Today blog, but this Rainbow of Bacon is just fucked up.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I woke up early with Dylan this morning and we made pancakes. (Note- the iPhone's autocorrect will turn a misspelled "pancakes" into "panties"). Sadly, we ate all our blueberries earlier in the week and so had to make do with maple syrup only. Tragic!!!

We are now zoning out with some Superwhy before our neighbor's birthday party. Fortunately it's in the backyard so we can leave at the last minute.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Went to a party last night. Gary's dad's cousin had a party for his son who was in town. There was a small bat in one of the trash cans, which was brought out to the balcony and let go. (Kind of the highlight for me, as I didn't know most of the people and was feeling rather introverted)

Going to go to the comic book store and the library today, then a movie tonight.

Market haul, for $18: 1/2 lb spinach, 2 pints yellow cherry tomatoes (from City schools!), pint apricots, pint plums, 2 spinach empanadas. Not bad. Now to strip. Uhg.

Fantastic! I too have been eager to see it again since it first aired. It's very romantic. FWIW, I have looked for it on YouTube several times so it's probably been uploaded more recently. Thanks for the tip.
