I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I continue to be impressed with the number of things Dylan will eat from our CSA. He just loves the fact that Jorge grew these veggies just for us. Last night I made a spicy Indian callaloo & potato dish (original recipe was for spinach & turnips, but close enough) and he dug right in. This is why I want to move somewhere I can have a vegetable garden!!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Em will eat just about anything, but she despises and hates fish. Which, I hated it as a kid as well, so I don't give her too much hassle over it. I make her try it and if she continues to not want it, ok. And she hates salad too. Not sure why. I think she doesn't like crunchy veggies. And she hates raw tomatoes. Very strange. But she loves the jambalaya and will eat that since it's already in the fridge.

I love "natural" spelling. (Less when it comes from my 41 year old husband.)

So, we're having an unusual morning at work! A guy came to the desk, wearing a t-shirt that said Department of Corrections, and asked to be let back on to a computer he'd been locked out of and didn't have the login for. He'd gotten a student to log in for him, since he "just got out of jail last night," and he needed to get in touch woth a woman who has no phone and he doesn't know when she'll be online. Public libraries deal with this kind of thing all the time, but we're in the center of campus and have a pretty limited guest policy. So now the police are having a little chat with the guy.

I can't believe they don't release you from jail in a PLAIN t-shirt. And at least give you contacts for some transition-to-regular-life agencies. This is GA, though.

My cynical side says maybe he wasn't released...
