And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I continue to be impressed by the contents of msbelle's pantry. I never manage to have that much usable food in the house at one time.

ION, YAWN. We took D swimming at the Y (early 3rd birthday present from my mom - pool membership!) and even though it was only 45 minutes we are all zonked. 6pm isn't too early for bedtime, right?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I am boggled by it.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I am boggled by it.

Same here. Maybe this summer, I will have my nutritionist friend come over and help me clear out the pantry and come up with a list of what I need to restock it.

You know what helps with sinus headaches? An old-fashioned bonnet hair dryer. Hot air on my head is soothing. (It is also setting the indigo. Unnaturally blue-black hair will be mine!)

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I think msbelle's pantry is like Mary Poppin's carpet bag. Or perhaps the Tardis.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I dreamed I was moving to New Orleans and I was all lost and had nobody to help me move, and then I though, "Wait, Nora!" It was such a relief.

Aw! Glad to be dream relief.

Caught up on Dr. Who and almost caught up on Top Chef Masters. Tonight, Lost finale!

It's been super hot here the last couple days and I've been trying to become zen with the heat. Some days it works better than others.

We had a nice night last night drinking beers with a group of folks from the neighborhood- this is Daisy Jane's cousin and her friends, who have been so super friendly and inclusive.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Well to make some of this stuff I have to buy also. Like the pie I had to buy the graham cracker crust.

I put some black-eyed peas on to cook. Of all the dried beans I have, those were the only ones mac said he would try. Also made a super quick cucumber salad which uses the same dressing as my slaw and with that I finished off one bottle of hot sauce, but there are two more to go.

I was just thinking that about msbelles pantry, that I never have so much stuff in mine!! Of course, when I moved I threw out half of the paltry amount in mine because it was expired, so there's good reason.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I think of msbelle's pantry as bigger on the inside, like the TARDIS.

I will say, hearing msbelle's pantry exploits encouraged me to cook up some pinto beans that I had. Especially after seeing the sodium content on canned. Yikes. But my pantry will likely never contain as much as hers.

I am trying to be very good and use up bathroom products. Apparently that is where my hoarding impulses have been directed.

Compassionately intolerant

I'm good at not buying gobs of stuff, and getting rid of super old spices. I learned my lesson in my last apartment when we were hit with those nasty moths. I tried shaking out some cayenne powder, but none would come. I took off that sifter top and discovered that the entire jar was STUFFED with some kind of web kind of thing. GROSS. So, I check spices regularly.

I DO, however, have some beans and things that have been there for too long. Until msbelle's endeavor, it never even occurred to me to find recipes specifically to work through them.

I'm on it.
