We can come by between classes. Usually I use that time to copy over my class notes with a system of different colored pens. But it's been pointed out to me that that's, you know...insane.

Cash, the insurance issue is multifold.

1. If she were still in a facility, medi-cal would pay for everything, from food, meds, supplies, etc. Todos.

2. Since she is home, she no longer is a primary medi-cal insurance patient.

3. We want SOMEONE to help navigate the complexities of her medications and supplies as it relates to dual insurance coverages.

4. We asked for a case manager, which a medically complex kid should have and were told we couldn't have one because she is at home and not in a facility.

5. I have been buying shit out of pocket (including a trach tube, two gastric tubes, HMEs, masks for her trach, saline that we use to suction her). I can't keep doing this.

Whatever.

Can't think about it without wanting to cry or to punch something.

In other news, Grace's blend tomorrow is PINK in honor of msbelle's move day (and we had beets). I also have to say we have eaten 4 pints of strawberries since Thursday and by we I mean Noah and Grace and maybe my mom. That's a crazy amount. But they are so nom.

Also since I'm awake and spamming, Fables of the Reconstruction is 25 years old! It just makes me feel....ancient.

hip deep in pie

Today is also the 25th anniversary of Live Aid. Which makes it a few months older than one of my coworkers.

Because books.

God, Kat. I can't even imagine. I'm so sorry this is such a fucked up system for you to have to navigate.

Also since I'm awake and spamming, Fables of the Reconstruction is 25 years old!

Oh boy. Now I do, too.

The status is NOT quo.

Fuck, Kat. It all makes me so angry on your behalf I could scream. Is there anything we, collectively, can do? Any of our lawyer types have ideas?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Thanks, Hil, it will be mine.

Now I just need the QC Baking is Science for Hungry People apron to be available again. Since asking for things has worked out so well for me tonight.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I have never heard of this before, but I am now certain that I need it.

They did a 25th anniversary reissue of Fables (out today!). When I lived in Brussels one of my friends LOVED R.E.M. and would busk and sing Driver 8. I cannot hear Driver 8 and not think about that time.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

It seems to be available here, -t.
