Hm, I put no butter in my batter (not because it makes the batter bitter, if you are wondering). But I like the way my waffles taste that way. In the interest of science, I will try a bit of butter and see if that makes the batter better.
Natter 66: Get Your Kicks.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, pandas, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
JZ, I am a cake person too. But I am enjoying the challenge of learning to make pies.
Boyfriend.
Zenkitty wins. Though what would be really useful is a boyfriend who is also handy. And motivated to be handy.
Where do you get those pump sprayer things for oil (I swear I can taste the propellant when I've tried the prepackaged kinds)?

It's for science! I just use the Joy of Cooking recipe. Which is butter galore. (The New Bond villainess.)
Ha! Now I'm imagining PSA's for a heart-healthy James Bond.
Cash, the insurance issue is multifold.
1. If she were still in a facility, medi-cal would pay for everything, from food, meds, supplies, etc. Todos.
2. Since she is home, she no longer is a primary medi-cal insurance patient.
3. We want SOMEONE to help navigate the complexities of her medications and supplies as it relates to dual insurance coverages.
4. We asked for a case manager, which a medically complex kid should have and were told we couldn't have one because she is at home and not in a facility.
5. I have been buying shit out of pocket (including a trach tube, two gastric tubes, HMEs, masks for her trach, saline that we use to suction her). I can't keep doing this.
Whatever.
Can't think about it without wanting to cry or to punch something.
In other news, Grace's blend tomorrow is PINK in honor of msbelle's move day (and we had beets). I also have to say we have eaten 4 pints of strawberries since Thursday and by we I mean Noah and Grace and maybe my mom. That's a crazy amount. But they are so nom.
Also, do any of you eat sheep's milk yogurt?
Also since I'm awake and spamming, Fables of the Reconstruction is 25 years old! It just makes me feel....ancient.
Today is also the 25th anniversary of Live Aid. Which makes it a few months older than one of my coworkers.
God, Kat. I can't even imagine. I'm so sorry this is such a fucked up system for you to have to navigate.

Oh boy. Now I do, too.
