Anyone have opinions on using a company (like Merry Maids) vs. a person or a small company?
I've been sketchy on the professional companies since reading Barbara Ehrenbach's
Nickle and Dimed
and her experiences with how they're set up.
I used a person back in Salem and she was awesome. She had insurance and bonding and whatnot (she had several cleaners in her employ)
Should I buy this lighthouse?
Yes!!!! You'll be set when the Triffids attack!
Congratulations, Hil!
WRT the video of how to open a wine bottle: My old machine here at work won't let me watch it, but it brought back memories of the time I was at a college party and didn't have a corkscrew handy. An old wino who had crashed the party took the bottle and said, "I can take care of that." Shoved in the cork with his thumb and handed it back to us. "You were planning on drinking it all tonight, right?"
Yes! Buy the lighthouse! It's a step toward buffista island. Or world domination. Or something!
Yay Hil! Way to go!
I can open a wine bottle without a corkscrew, but usually it is more likely I will have a corkscrew with me than, say a screwdriver or knife sharpener.
