This is so nice. Having everyone together for my birthday. Of course, you could smash in all my toes with a hammer and it will still be the bestest Buffy Birthday Bash in a big long while.

Yes! Buy the lighthouse! It's a step toward buffista island. Or world domination. Or something!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Thanks!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Yay Hil! Way to go!

I can open a wine bottle without a corkscrew, but usually it is more likely I will have a corkscrew with me than, say a screwdriver or knife sharpener.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oh my God. The Old Spice guy is responding to Twitter and YouTube comments. It's hilarious!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Dana, I hired an independent contractor. I interviewed both services. I don't regret my decision--my cleaner is professional and dependable. She basically does the deep jobs I don't want to do--the bathrooms, mopping floors and sweeping the stairs, etc. She also does other jobs in rotation--like cleaning windows and ceiling fans as needed.

She's also very flexible when I need to reschedule and will bring in my mail, etc. when we're out of town.

Punishingly Intricate

I wonder how flexible a Merry Maids type place would be to using, say, more green or unscented cleaning products? That would be an issue for me.

Our wings are not tired.

I use a women's co-op that only uses green cleaning solutions. The money goes straight to the licensed and bonded cleaners. Their hourly wage is close to mine.
