WTF? Why does he have a rifle with a BAYONET on it?? And how does shooting the reporter help prove a gun ban works??? (...it would...stop the mayor from buying a gun in the future??)

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

And how does shooting the reporter help prove a gun ban works?

It might reduce the number of reports who want to ask about the gun ban.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

The sad thing is, I'm not sure that quote would even have taken it in the poll.

Get better, MK!

Punishingly Intricate

Ack, poor MK and poor sara. Why do these things always happen on the weekend?!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

There's this gorgeous spring rain with the last rays of sunset shining through it happening here. So lovely.

I dunno, but thank god for our vet. They close at 3, and I discovered MK's puffy face at 2:15. They told me to come right in. Dr. Lee gave me her cell number and told me not to hesitate to call if things took a turn before Monday, and she'd tell me what to do. Two of the techs (Kendall and Amy? Short, cheery blond) who've always loved on MK stopped by to say hello.

I'm preparing for the worst. And using a lot of kleenex. Fact that I got sunburnt at the yard sale (I tried to stay in the shade) isn't helping. It stings.

If it is an infection (probably tooth/root,) it's really unlikely he'll make it through any effective form of treatment. And damnit, I have always known this was coming, but I was expecting a side effect of the diabetes (kidney failure, pancreatic whatever, his heart) not a goddamn facial infection out of the blue.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Vibing hard for Mr. Kitty and sara--get better, MK!!!

Happy birthday, Javacat!!

I just had dinner delivered. They stiffed me on the french fries, but that's okay. I'll just remind them of that the next time I order from them.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Mr. Kitty~ma, sara. Come on, kitty, get better!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oh, sarameg. I have you and MK in my thoughts. It's so hard with older pets.

My parents lost their oldest Golden yesterday morning. Kittenish is now the oldest family pet and I've spent a lot of yesterday and today just petting her.
