Ok, I know I am obsessed, but my coworker also told me that Johannes Mehserle (who shot Oscar Grant) was not born in America (but was now a citizen). I cannot find that confirmed or denied anywhere (all I can see was that he was raised from the age of 4 in CA).
Nevermind- I see that he was born in Germany (but that was pretty hard to find.)
Still her thesis that since he wasn't american, the people had to hold back on crying racism, since he wasn't raised here sort of goes out the window when he moved here at 4.
Also, she was very angry about the mom being on TV yelling, and said that SHE should be in jail for not raising her child not to be a criminal.

Speaking of penguins: some genius at the aquarium put up a big penguin ad campaign last week or so, just when it got hot.
I made homemade macaroni and cheese for lunch and it is delish.

Nature is just what happens outdoors in some places. Beaches are only as casual as what happens on them. Half of them are manicured and maintained to within an inch of their granules and made up of dumped sand.
