I have the cheapest a/c available, and it does not have a thermostat.

My smallest (cheapest) doesn't have one either, but were I to do this again, I would get one with a thermostat.
At my old place all the windows faced west, so while I might have toughed it out on my own, I really could not leave the (heavy coated, part Husky) dog all day without it. Even with windows open it was just beastly hot. I got a cheapy at first but then figured as long as I was paying for it, why not be comfortable, and got one that could keep things at meat-locker levels, even if the blinds were up. It was so awesome getting home on hot days after a long ride on the bus and walking into that.
Now I have central air and keep it at a fairly reasonable level, but my tolerance for it being hot and muggy inside is pretty much gone.
Ice cream: the one I was just given is this [link] .
I'm noticing a Cuisinart theme! Which is great, since most of my counter-top dealies are Cuisinart.
I have no idea where our ice cream maker ended up, but I think I might make a concerted effort to find it tomorrow, because I want to make some ice cream with luxuardo cherries (the syrup has crystallized, so it's a pain to extract individual cherries for cocktails). Maybe some peaches? Creole cream cheese? Mmm.
Someone in the dog park gave me a brand new Cuisinart ice cream maker years ago and I've yet to use it. This summer for sure!
If I had an ice cream maker, I'm pretty sure I would need new pants.
BWAH!!
my son has the hygiene of a dirty thing. refused a bath tonight. dude, you stink, and not like just a little if I get real close. stinky little boy being.
I got 3 boxes taped up that were partially packed. Now to the bedroom stuff. But speaking of stinky. I think I will help myself cool down and feel better by taking a shower now.
