my son has the hygiene of a dirty thing. refused a bath tonight. dude, you stink, and not like just a little if I get real close. stinky little boy being.

I got 3 boxes taped up that were partially packed. Now to the bedroom stuff. But speaking of stinky. I think I will help myself cool down and feel better by taking a shower now.

Now tagless for your comfort.

My stinky boy just refused a bath, too, msbelle. I may be able to coax him in after movie.

I want an ice cream maker.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

We have a cuisinart ice cream maker, but have never used it.

I can eat approximately 2 bites of ice cream without severe intestinal distress, so y'all can't taunt me at all!

Scraping at the banister, I think the dark layer is a dark varnish, but not stain, and it is the bottom layer. This is excellent news. Means when I strip, I'll probably get down to minimally paintstained wood, so I can go about staining the rail and main posts, and stick with white for the wickets or whatever they are called. I'll go with a dark honey that matches the inlay (and blinds from IKEA!) [link] [link]

This is what I have to strip: [link] Main posts at top and bottom will be a challenge with all those edges. Luckily, I like picking at things.

I want to try a frozen lemon custard recipe. I used to get frozen lemon custard with my dad at a local ice cream shop and it closed years ago. I can never find it anymore.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Nora, have y'all been to Brocato's yet for lemon ice?

I have been very happy with this ice cream book: [link]

For a couple of summers I was making a small batch or two every few weeks, after a while you can just experiment without following a strict recipe. I made some yum carrot and honey ice cream and I think I made several versions of cinnamon.

frozen lemonade and frozen raspberries are our new best friends.

My mom got this thing that makes a bowl of ice cream at a time (you freeze the bowls) which is just about right for the amount of it she wants to make. It came with 2 bowls.
