Crap. Anyone know any OTC/folk remedies for nausea?
Cola syrup is the one I always heard (and they sell it for such at drug stores, or at least they used to).
Ginger ale was always good.
Alka seltzer sometimes helps me (if it doesn't cause an immediate rejection by my stomach).
Ginger, peppermint, and lemon are all good for nausea.
Cool. I'ma gonna run to the grocery and get some....
For ginger ale, the fancy gourmet brands are better - most of the commercial stuff has no actual ginger. (Boylan's or GuS are both good if you can find them.)
Nauzene tablets are pretty good for me. Cold rag is good as well.
What is the difference between dress slacks and slacks for women? I figure this might be an easily lost nuance in the dress code, but I at least want to know what I might be flouting.
Ginger beer is da bomb. I tend to bring a bottle on car trips with certain car-sickness-prone-people.
I usually fight nausea with a few crackers first.
ita, maybe fabric? Like, not plain cotton or khaki?
I've found anti-nausea medicine to be effective for me.
Also those wristband things can help (or just pressing down on the same pressure point.)
Tommy, if you can get someone to press three fingers on the inside of each your wrists for a minute or so (pressing really hard into the corded veins you can feel there), that should help.
Note, pressing yourself on one wrist can also get rid of hiccups.
When I was pregnant I found that Gripe Water (usually found in the baby section) works surprisingly well.
