Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just got a wardrobe talking to! Appropriate wear may not include corsets, apparently. Harrumph. I might probably also want to skip the short denim skirts, although he didn't call those out specifically. Just the corset, and general conservatism.

No "underwear as outerwear fashion attire"?

It's nice that we do actually have a dress code now, though, even if "within appropriate lengths" is a bit vague.

And looking at it, a lot of people have to change how they dress. No more chinos Monday-Thursday.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Woo hoo! It hit 100 degrees in Boston! (I appreciate an impressive sounding number if it's going to feel like that. 97 seems like whatever, but 100 is Really Friggin Hot!)

That's actually a written policy? I think that's kind of hilarious.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

And this is why Celsius will never become standard in the US. We'd die long before approaching three figures.

37.7 hardly sounds impressive at all! But we would get to use negative numbers much sooner in the winter....

Because books.

ita, haven't you worn the corset more than once? I hate it when rules spring into being with no precedent.

37.7 hardly sounds impressive at all!

But just think how hot 40 would be! And yet, still not as impressive as 100.

I think it's hysterical, and I really want to know what prompted it.

Of course, now I'm reading and rereading the guidelines and getting totally paranoid. It's the blouse thing. You know how there are dressy tops that if they were plain cotton knits would be t-shirts? But maybe they're silk knit, or have pouffey sleeves or something and I figure they're okay...

I'm going to be second guessing that for a while.

Yeah, but they just published this over the weekend. And my boss was really nice about the whole talk. So I'm okay with it, really.

A friend of my sister's is moving to China, where Facebook is disallowed. I'm guessing that's the same for other social networking sites. Bummer. Was looking forward to following her adventures. She's a teacher.

We're supposed to have hit 100, too. Am staying inside. I haven't had much online time lately, so...

That's pretty funny.
