It just started pouring down rain here. Doesn't look like our fireworks are going to happen. At least it held off until after we marched in the parade!
Natter 66: Get Your Kicks.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, pandas, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I had cherry pie for breakfast. I made 8 mini ones instead of a big one so I can freeze the rest. Now I'm making a clafouti and have masses of cherries soaking in both vodka and brandy. I got part way into making cherry jam until I remembered I made it last year and wasn't impressed. So those ones are going in the freezer.
I love msbelle's shopping spree!
Still in Idaho Falls. I had an epic fail with Grace's last bunch of food (note to self, hamburger is NOT a good choice for the g-tube). So I had to throw out that batch and make another. This one is all fruit/veg/avocado and oatmeal.
Also, it's ASS COLD here. I'd like some warmer temps. Maybe 80? Because this 60 degree stuff is for the birds. I guess when we get to Vegas in three days it will be warm enough then. I just have to keep warm until that point.
No swimming pool here but lots of fires in the fire pit.
I am sooo hungry. But I don't want anything to eat. Or at least anything I have. I wouldn't mind some cold pizza.
I am searching for a dunkin donuts and just passed a couple swing dancing on the sidewalk just for fun, made me smile.
We just watched G-Force. It was cute. I wanted to watch the new Return to Witch Mountain, but kiddo informed us that his mom said it was too scary.
Sigh. I am down with not making the kiddo watch too-scary stuff, but I am awful tired of mom-that's-not-here being the de facto decision maker.
I don't want to overstate this, but God Bless dunkin donuts.
I have a seat and an iced beverage and there is a/c and the radio just played Empire State of Mind. COME ON! That is like the best rest stop ever. Ok, they could have a restroom, but this is NYC, let's not get crazy.
and Casper said, "You should tke a picture and put it on the internet for the Buffistas, so they can learn how to make one, too."
That's so sweet. I adore Buffista sprog.
Now I want a donut. I have been craving those creme horns for DAYS, but every time I go to the store, they don't have them.
I need to go to the store anyway this afternoon; I will need to check again.
Mmmm. Those would be an excellent base for strawberry shortcake instead of the pound cake.
I'd send you some of our excess heat if I could, Kat.
Tonight is going to involve a BLT with extra thick bacon and local tomatoes. Followed by a chocolate-Kahlua shake.
