That sucks, quester. I had high hopes.

Anyone have a bit of spare motivation lying around?
Nope, sorry. Most of my department just had trivia lunch outside, and the word on the street is that our boss will only be working from home until 2. We can leave at 3.
Sorry, quester. You've got to remember how many factors go into hiring -- it's totally not about you not being good enough, I'm sure. And good luck to your cat, tommyrot.
I'm sorry, quester.
I hope your kitty keeps his blood where it should be now, tommyrot.
::sigh:: Jesse totally let me down.
::sigh::
I'm so sorry quester.
That sucks, quester.
kitty~ma for tommyrot!
I had no motivation to even come into work today, so I didn't get in until 11:00. I'm guessing I'll be here until at least 5:00. My fault--I just couldn't wake up, and then when I did, I wanted to watch last night TDS/Colbert before coming in.

I have some last few things to do before vacation, and it's hard to even do those. I just want to *be on* vacation, dang it!
My next chore: to sort through the literally 3-4 months' worth of comics I haven't read and decide which ones to take to the beach. Because all of them is too many. (Not for me to read, but to be toting around. Plus going to the beach with 2 teenage boys means that I might not return with all the comics anyway.)
We got a gracious notice yesterday that we're all free to leave at either 2 or 3 today, provided we email our supervisor about it and don't forget to subtract the vacation time from our next paychecks.
Together with the announcements that our tiny division had laid off yet another staffer, that the person who had falsely promised me a promotion a year and a half ago was abruptly retiring effective this instant, and that refreshments will no longer be provided for the monthly staff meetings (we used to get one small cake from the cafeteria for all the birthdays of the month, and sometimes a cheese plate), staff morale is not even in the toilet, but in a 50-foot pit under 50 feet of sludge under the septic tank under the toilet.

Nice!

...the fuck? How...nice of them.
Ugh, JZ.

Um, isn't that true of every day, then??
