It's a real problem Steph. Parents stuff a couple of them in there at once and suddenly the whole system comes to a halt.
So, then what? They have to poke in there with a broomstick until the toddler current is running unimpeded again?
Sheesh, these newfangled pneumatic tubeways sure are a lot of trouble! Best just to wait for flying cars. I hear they'll be along any day now.
Unrelatedly, we have gone to Up For Grabs Day, where The Boy got a fully functional, barely used flatscreen monitor. Nice.
And I think I may nap before Mexican and bowling.
Sigh.
::reaches through intertubes and changes Perkin's computer screen to pictures of pretty people::
I go in flying tubes! Oh, wait. Airplanes. Similar. Different.
I am at the library, learning about how to set up and run a nonprofit. Which is to say, ALL DIFFERENT from how my current group has been doing it the past couple years. Sigh.
So, then what? They have to poke in there with a broomstick until the toddler current is running unimpeded again?
Three words - giant pneumatic plunger.
Also, it turns out xkcd had it all wrong and we can stop worrying about the rovers because THEY ARE PERFECTLY HAPPY ON MARS.
OK, so I had great timing. Swept the front walk and headed over to the pool, intent on doing a long swim. Just as I'm finishing up (65 laps, yay!) they announce they are closing in 15 minutes due to weather. So glad I didn't decide to clean house first.
I did scrape up my knee cause I had to use a shallow lane, but other than that, it was very good. I swim better when I'm mildly hungry.
And it's way more than 3 inches on the ground and still coming.
My day has been good. I made coffee and yummy ginger scones for breakfast. Now DH is being a good citizen and helping out with the e-waste recycling fundraiser at school and kids are playing. Would be banner day if only the GRADING FAIRIES would come and SAVE ME!
heat gun and paint scraping while wearing a mask = sweaty. I think it's going a lot faster than the stripper stuff did. I at least feel a lot more accomplished. still? not very much.
this is perfect for me, and solves two of my problems!
What were your problems? What is/are still extant?
