Wash: Captain, didn't you know kissin' girls makes you sleepy? Mal: Well sometimes I just can't help myself.

OK, so I had great timing. Swept the front walk and headed over to the pool, intent on doing a long swim. Just as I'm finishing up (65 laps, yay!) they announce they are closing in 15 minutes due to weather. So glad I didn't decide to clean house first.

I did scrape up my knee cause I had to use a shallow lane, but other than that, it was very good. I swim better when I'm mildly hungry.

And it's way more than 3 inches on the ground and still coming.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

My day has been good. I made coffee and yummy ginger scones for breakfast. Now DH is being a good citizen and helping out with the e-waste recycling fundraiser at school and kids are playing. Would be banner day if only the GRADING FAIRIES would come and SAVE ME!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

heat gun and paint scraping while wearing a mask = sweaty. I think it's going a lot faster than the stripper stuff did. I at least feel a lot more accomplished. still? not very much.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

this is perfect for me, and solves two of my problems!

What were your problems? What is/are still extant?

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

What were your problems? What is/are still extant?

A lack of instant oatmeal (I was going to get some at Costco today) and an excess of quick-cooking plain oats and tiny plastic bags!

Continuing problems include no job and a foot injury. I'm not sure the oats will help.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You never know -- isn't oatmeal supposed to be good for everything?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I hate when I do this -- I'm totally ready to go, and now have an hour to sit here.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Awww, who's excited for her date?

Our wings are not tired.

Jesse is adorkable.

Just got home from dropping off Megan at Oakland BART and am now prepping to go to a swell dinner followed by an evening of SF Sketchfest with a bunch of friends. Can't wait.

Last night was really fun. I loved having Emmett and Matilda here, and yeah, they are fantastic to behold together. And Emmett is so self-assured and helpful and funny. I need to clarify that in fact I had set up my Wii a couple of weeks ago, but I had no actually played a game. And the stuff for the Wii fit and various accessories were still boxed. But I love what I saw of it last night and do like that it's good for getting off the couch. And Emmett informs me that I need something called Mario Kart and I also want one of those musical doohickeys like Guitar Band or whatever it's called.

And yeah, everyone who didn't come for some reason or another missed out on lots of good drinks (with fresh Meyer lemons) and easy finger foods and Zombie games.
