I had a hair appt today. Unfortunately, I forgot because I lost the card. I see from my caller id that they called yesterday, but no message got left, so that's weird. But she rescheduled me for next week.
Probably a good thing though, cause she told me that main street down there is a total mess. A fair amount of snow has come down in the past few hours.
Do you have to stay with your stuff? or does it just go out for people to take? It probably goes without saying, but I WOULD LOVE AN UP FOR GRABS DAY.
There are sections of the gym where it's held that are marked off for different categories -- kitchen stuff, books, men's clothes, women's clothes, kids' clothes, etc. So after you put your stuff in the appropriate sections, you are free to roam and take whatever you like.
There's a bulletin board at the front where people can post pictures and descriptions of things that are too large to get to the gym, like furniture, etc. In those instances, people just have to connect with the owner and make plans to pick the large thing up.
It's a great event. Things that are unclaimed at the end go to either the community food pantry (they also hand out non-food things, like blankets, etc.) or to Goodwill.
I do oatmeal overnight in the slow cooker. Dead easy AND it's ready before I wake up.
This morning, however, was a bagel day. After breakfast we took Dylan and a friend to the play gym around the corner and now all are zonked and attempting nappage.
I didn't get up for breakfast, so for lunch I made an English muffin with a fried egg and a slice of white American cheese, coffee, and a bowl of blueberries.
Tom does a thing where he toasts the steelcut oats in butter, then covers them in boiling water overnight- then he cooks it up with the milk and raisins in the morning. It's quick enough for a weekday breakfast without having to go instant or use rolled oats.

I have a cat on me and am watching 30 Rock. I have a thing to go to tonight, that I'm kind of not really looking forward to.
President Obama is just hanging out with the CBS Sports commentators talking ON AIR at the Georgetown/Duke game. ok, it's over now, but it was adorkable.
Well i had things I could have done last night , but I was too tired. Two asthma attacks last night, which explains the tired.
I am now in the mode where sitting on the couch , I feel fine. but getting up to sweep , exhausted me.
