Timelies all!
It's cold here, and snow is in the forecast. Oh, joy. (I know, it could be much worse)

Oh man, someone tweeted about those 80 calorie Campbell's soup ads, and Campbell's wrote back.
...Wow. That was...something.
I knew it was going to be a fun day when my ice-scraper broke in half this morning while chipping away the half inch of ice on my windshield. Finished the job with the business end cradled in my palm, put in a 5 1/2 hour workday (but with my boss calling me a trooper and Big Boss calling everyone who made it in crazy and telling us to go home early). On the drive home snow was accumulating faster than my wipers could push it aside, something I don't recall seeing since 1988.
Does anyone have a (low fat) broccoli preparation they like? I have a big bag of florets and am not finding as much options as I would with spinach or other green veggies. I've liked it with currants/pignoli and mashed into pasta, but looking for something different but still with a soft texture.
I've had good luck steaming florets over a pot of water with some garlic butter or Italian salad dressing drizzled on the tops.
I like broc just steamed with lemon.
I like it steamed without anything, but I'm assuming you'd already know if you did.
Fixit fic for today's xkcd cartoon.
I didn't cry at xkcd either. They were talking to Spirit all the time, though it was more in the "Now go over there. OK, now go over there." Like your mother-in-law when you're driving her around town.
edit: So this may be more Spirit's way of saying, "Well, you can just come up here and FIX me, dammit! I'm not moving another inch!"
I think the Resolutionists' reign is done. Went to the pool and for the first time, it was back to normal for a Friday night- lane to myself! I celebrated by swimming the mile and a half. Now I have a mug of soup and feel nicely stretched.

It is almost February.
