Ahh, sweet Owen. I totally agree with you about that couple's equivalence with Burke/Cristina. Twofer. Different, but intense good.

Well the equivalence of course makes me wonder if it's a Cristina thing. But when Cristina was single, she was insufferable or at least written that way. I'm just saying I think that Cristina gets the best relationships and Bailey gets the best lines.
I want that green polish. Want the blue too. Speaking of, I am slacking on grading tonight so I might as well do my nails.
I can't believe I'm becoming a polish convert. Who'da thunk it?
I made a pistachio cake with apples and honey.
That sounds delicious. Recipe, please?
I've always liked Cristina more than most of the other GA characters. I see the worst of myself there.
Goddamn. Youngest nephew has lost all hearing on the right side, on antiBs and next visit to an ent if it doesn't clear up. Likely cause of his delayed speech (he's had bad colds forever.) SIL very upset.
hey, Hec, guess who gave her notice yesterday and had her last day today?
Carol?
How did you guess?
She's about the only person I know who's still there. Except not anymore.
Where did she go?
Oh man. Poor T!
Cake directions: ground 1 cup of pistachios until you make a small grain meal, like coffee grounds. Combine with a cup of flour, 2 tsps of baking powder, 1/2 tsp of nutmeg, 1/2 tsp of cinnamon, 1/4 tsp of salt. In a separate bowl, cream 1 cup of sugar, 1 stick of butter, 3 eggs, 1 tsp of vanilla. Combine the wet and the dry ingredients into a batter.
Pour the batter into a greased and floured 10 inch cake pan or a 9 x 9 pan. Place halved and seed apricots or apples (and a friend from high school mentioned cherries would be yum) on the batter. Spoon honey into the centers of the fruit. Bake for 35-40 minutes at 350.
The fruit will drop into the batter due the weight and the cake will inter the fruit when it rises.
Serve with a sprinkling of powdered sugar or perhaps a honey butter glaze?
totally yum. More like a quick bread than cake. even sarameg who is sweet averse might like it.
Where did she go?
Don't know. There was drama, but I was ignoring it.
