I have reserved a rental car for the weekend. The dealer's service desk said he called around town and that there were no parts to be had--but we have priority on the ones they get from GM. He said aftermarket parts weren't an option for this particular part so we wait.
He didn't have a loaner available but offered to rent me a vehicle for twice what I could rent one through AAA. @@
I didn't realize how much running around I do until I didn't have wheels.
