What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

It's (Sorkin, I think?)

David E. Kelley.

I tried to watch a little of Boston Legal once, and the filming style bugged me. The camera was always moving and zooming in on stuff for no reason.

"Boston Legal" often surprised me, especially when Shatner would brush himself off and remind the world that once upon a time he was considered a very respectable serious actor. I enjoy when he knowlingly embraces the schtick that has become his life, but he can also bring the chops. The episodes where Denny's dealing with the knowledge he has the precursors of Alzheimer's are wonderful.

I'm sorry, when was that?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Shatner was on one of the really classic Twilight Zone episodes, for instance.

"Judgement at Nurmberg" in the '60s, plus he did a lot of Shakespeare. I've seen some Star Trek stories that commented on a stage actor with a promising career doing TV sci-fi.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

He was at the Statford Shakespeare festival. Also, his early Corman film The Intruder is pretty great as b-movies go.

Plus he was in the only movie shot in Esperanto!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

China to Ban Eating Cats and Dogs

I have two contradictory feelings. One is that different cultures have different views on what animals are OK to eat and what animals are not. By this view, there's really no difference between eating a cow and a dog.

My other view is it's more morally objectionable to eat an intelligent animal than a dumb one. From this view, it's worse to eat a dog than a cow, because cows are stupid and annoying animals. Or maybe I just have childhood issues about having to do chores on a dairy farm....

because cows are stupid and annoying animals

And they step on your feet and smugly chew their cud while you try to get the damned thing to move.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Hipster infestations have become commonplace in modern times.
