I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I hang my jeans, but I've just got the one pair right now so they default to what the rest of the trousers do.

Trust my rage

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I'm currently several hours south and west of my house for a client hearing. But we had a great birthday party for Frisco on Saturday. The party was fun and then Frisco proceeded to throw up for the next 18 hours. Thankfully, he's still nursing and kept that down so he didn't get dehydrated, but we still went through a lot of laundry. I felt very bad for him, being so ill, but I also secretly enjoyed the chance to just hold him so much and know that I was occupied being his mom. I suppose it was extra poignant because it was almost his birthday and I was remembering how tiny, cuddly, and floppy he was when he was born. Two year olds don't sit still very often and I have to take my chances where I get them.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I hang my jeans along with my other pants.

Now tagless for your comfort.

DH doesn't even like nail clipping in public areas of our home! Bathrooms or outside on the deck are his favorite places. He'd freak out if someone did that on a bus, train or plane next to him.

Theo, my letter isn't posted on their online edition--only print. I hate the local paper--even though I write for them. They can't ever seem to get all their content up. I posted my letter in a thread on Facebook, along with a link to the letter I was responding to.

I'm poking at local bloggers who insist that our teachers are paid too much. @@

But not for too much longer since Olivia and I are going to the gym in 10 minutes.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

When I clip my nails I need to know where the shards go. So I do it where they either don't need to be picked up (which is nowhere in my current home) or in the bathroom where I can collect and dispose of them easily.

I used to file my nails in public, but then I hostelled with a woman who really hated the smell of filed nails. So now I'm a lot less likely to bust out the emery board next to someone. But I don't consider it something that inherently needs privacy.

I had a boss one time that had his jeans dry cleaned. I'm assuming he hung his. I have a ton of clothes that just stay folded, and the four pairs of jeans are among those.

Why does my computer want to restart in 25 minutes? Why does it want to make me sad?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Remember a few weeks back when we were talking about Harold Ford and is he really as bad as all that?

“We as a nation need to be disciplined. If there were ever a day in which an electric cord ought to be used on all of us to remind us of what’s good, what’s bad, what’s right and what’s wrong, it’s on the King holiday.”

mac refused school this morning, or more correctly refused to go to school without his DS (not allowed). He snuck it yesterday. So I waited him out, emailed in to work, and read a book until he caved. I think the meds helped both of us stay much more calm. I am really ready for the DS to break.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I am really ready for the DS to break.

"Oops...."? Eh?

Maybe not. I was always fond of just kicking toys under the couch that annoy me. They're re-found every six months or so. Probably not a workaround for you, though.

He caved and went in to school? How long did it take him to change his mind?

How frustrating. I'm glad you could stay calmer.

I need new shoes. I have three pairs of shoes I can wear with skirts that are perfectly comfortable, and they're all falling apart/scraped past the skin. Oy.

a total of 2 hours. He watched a show on the computer (while I was sitting in front of the door) and then we were doing a puzzle together (once he was calm and I knew he wouldn't run). I was ready to take the full day from work.
