I decided to catch up on the early seasons of Criminal minds, since I missed a lot of it, and I just finished the first disk.
I knew I liked Prentiss/Brewster more than I had Greenway/Glaudini, but I'm a little surprised at how much more I like Mantegna/Rossi than I dd Gideon/Patinkin.
Perkins, my experience with early CM is the same, regarding liking the new guys much better than the previous ones.
I like Prentiss way more than I had Greenway, but I missed Gideon for a long time and took even longer to come around on Rossi. Mostly I am all about Garcia and Morgan and then crazy for Reid. Those three are what keep me watching. Though Hotchner makes my heart hurt in recent times.
Wow, typed a lot of names there. Looks like letter soup.
Yeah, that last girl was INCREDIBLE. My god. I feel bad for Ashley Gardner, though.
Too bad they could only send 2! But, yay! There are a lot of good women in the queue!
I felt the same way when Rossi was first on. It's only going back and watching from the beginning that I didn't like him as much. It's weird.
I do like Gideon's relationship with Reid a lot though.

DNA analysis of the land-loving, spiny echidna has found it was once an amphibious platypus-like creature.
I thought the spiny echidna couldn't get any cooler. I was wrong.

It's true, it has one of the lowest body temperatures of any mammal.
I found Gideon pretty insufferable on rewatch. His relationship with Reid was about the only thing that redeemed him for me. He was too snooty with everyone else. I don't think it was too much of meta colouring things.
I think Joe Mantegna is very wasted--Rossi is a delightfully egdy character from what we've seen. There could be so much more. But there isn't time.
I also like Prentiss a lot. I thought Greenaway was a textbook shrill Daddy's girl with issues and a gun. Prentiss is a much more together action heroine.
