I got some good heavy cream from the local dairy and I think I'm going to make butter with the kids today.
Oh, cool! When I was a kid, we ate margarine as a matter of course, but for mother's day (and maybe for father's day, but definitely for mom) we'd make butter out of cream (using the Ronco Whip-o-matic with Planetary Action). I'm pretty sure we made butter by shaking cream in a jar in kindergarten, also. It's almost as magical as making ice cream.
That's unfortunate, Cashmere. Maybe salvageable?
I saved a couple of them. But I wasn't happy.
