I want one of flea's scones. . . they would be perfect with the tea I have steeping.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I made fresh blueberry muffins. But while I was out of the room, Owen decided they needed salt. While they were cooling, he dumped a half container of kosher salt on top of them.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I got some good heavy cream from the local dairy and I think I'm going to make butter with the kids today.

Oh, cool! When I was a kid, we ate margarine as a matter of course, but for mother's day (and maybe for father's day, but definitely for mom) we'd make butter out of cream (using the Ronco Whip-o-matic with Planetary Action). I'm pretty sure we made butter by shaking cream in a jar in kindergarten, also. It's almost as magical as making ice cream.

That's unfortunate, Cashmere. Maybe salvageable?

I saved a couple of them. But I wasn't happy.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

But I wasn't happy.

Uh, yeah. Did he think it was sugar?

Bummer. Slightly salty muffins sound delicious, but very, very salty probably not so much.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I wasn't happy.

I suggest he get one less birthday gift to teach him the error of his ways.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Or make sure one of the gifts is salted muffin.

If I get in the car and drive somewhere to revel in the one day of not rainyness, where should I go? I was thinking the beach.
