When I was in college, I had a friend who had more than butt-length hair, and she was very tired of it but her mother adored her very long hair. I told her if she was tired of it, she should cut it off. My roommates were horrified: "Oh, it's so beautiful, you shouldn't cut it! No, no!" Me: "She's a grown person, she can cut her hair if she wants to."
Friend called her mother, said she was thinking of cutting her hair. Mother was horrified at the concept. She hung up and was sitting there very thoughtfully. "I could just cut it off on my own," she said. "No, you shouldn't," said the others that were there. Me: "I have scissors, if you're serious." "Let me have them."
My roommates were begging her not to cut it, she had it bunched up in one hand with the scissors in the other, and I said, "Your hair. Your decision." And she very slowly and deliberately hacked it off. She probably lost a good two feet of hair and still had it below her shoulders.
Her mother forgave her, she never cut it shorter, but the look on her face was very telling as she lopped it off.
Yep. Lemme see if I can get something. Is Monday ok? We've cleared out my team (except for creative who really don't have a promo code).
Man, Chipotle chips are like crack. Limey, salty goodness!
And with that I should really be out of here. I like my timesheets to be precise.
My yaktraks are here. They look like something Scorpius might wear.
Finished my book and still have half an hour of waiting plus the ride homem hate it when that happens.
Two different malls, four different stores, one misread coupon (40% off, but Wednesday), one finally correctly read coupon and I scored two tops for $35 including tax. Not bad, considering one of the stores was Anthropologie.
Now to nurse the migraine. I did get a respite last night, briefly. Hopefully tonight too.

That's annoying. Sometimes I bring a back-up book.
I am trying to work through as many tbr pile books as I can before the move. At least this means I get to start a new book on sunday, so looking through books gets to be part of tomorrow.
