I don't give a good gorram about relevant, Wash. Or objective. And I ain't so afraid of losing something that I ain't gonna try to have it. You and I would make one beautiful baby. And I want to meet that child one day. Period.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

What flight are you on, Jess? I'm on the noon flight tomorrow.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Interview: Nathan Fillion Talks Firefly, Dr. Horrible, and Why Kids Need to Read

I can't listen to the interview, seeing as how I'm at work, but I love that fact that he's a big reading geek.

(Also, it wasn't until Dr. Horrible that I finally started liking him. Something about being willing to be a dork and sing even though he's not the world's best singer. [Although that didn't work on me for Felicia Day. She still makes me go MEH.])

New Zealand is awesome! OK, I've never been, but my cousin moved there and became a citizen. She loves it.

My grandparents went on a tour there and the pictures are really nice. I digitized them awhile ago. I think my wife was kidding, but I'm not entirely sure.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

That's the place to go if freaked out about the political climate- everywhere else is similarly screwed up. NZ is still small enough to not be fully entrenched in corruption and horribleness.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

What flight are you on, Jess? I'm on the noon flight tomorrow.

That's my flight! How are you getting to the airport? I have no money right now so I was going to LIRR it to the Airtrain.

Also, why does this week already have to be a short week and I have no sick time?

I sure hope some good stuff starts happening soon, I'm sorry.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

[Although that didn't work on me for Felicia Day. She still makes me go MEH.])

More for me!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

NZ really hates letting people in. It's supposed to be one of the hardest places to emigrate to.

Nathan Fillion had my adoration from way back (uh, Two Guys, A Girl, And A Pizza Place), but his continued geekery and love of fandom and the Whedonverse really put him over the top.

eta:

Thanks, Gud.

Now off to the meeting I have no brain cells for.

No uh! I loved that show. I caught it in reruns during grad school. On, uh, WE.

Librarian Warlord

This is true. However, if you have an actual job offer then they will make it happen. My DH and I had enough points to emigrate without the job offer, but when I had one in hand the embassy person was prepared to break all the rules.

Sox's sister is a NZ citizen now.
