I'm volunteering tomorrow afternoon (putting up shelves in a new warehouse for an org that redistributes office supplies, I think), going out for Ethiopian tomorrow night, and otherwise getting a mani-pedi, going to the library, and possibly shopping for a sweater to go over some dresses. Tonight I am making a dent in the DVR...

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, pandas, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Reading articles for next Thursday's class, cleaning tomorrow and maybe going to the farmer's market (if it's open), and seeing my dad on Sunday--he's bringing his pictures from his recent Southwest trip (he spent three weeks driving around UT, AZ, NM, CO, NV, and CA, hitting as many national parks as he could).
Oh yeah, the boring stuff for this weekend is cleaning, laundry, dying my roots.
Whoa. Freaky thunder. My apartment shook. (Seven years living here, and I still think "terrorists" rather than "thunder" when that happens.)
Tonight, a wedding reception party thing (first gay wedding!), tomorrow is the Cystic Fibrosis walk (BFF's son has CF), tomorrow night is the "Around the World" party at my condo complex (lotta countries, lotta drinks). Sunday is nothing! I did have the invited dress rehearsal of the new show, but it got cancelled. Which is never a good sign.
Hey, Biggest Loser fans: Here's a whole bunch of "where are they now"s: [link]
So, did I say anniversary weekend has been full of drama?
On our way to Austin from Dallas we stopped at Carl's Corner where there was almost an issue with Oz and some big dog NOT ON A LEASH!!!
Then we get back on the road and haven't gotten much more than a mile when we see am medium sized scruffy thing IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSTATE. So I have a heart attack. We pull over. Jon somehow manages to a) coax it down from the concrete wall which is a good10 foot drop abd b) get Oz's leash on him. He smells like dead fish, so we go to the Wal-mart (the office where his rabies tag came from was closed) and they were going to have us take him to the pound, which we wouldn't do.
Instead Jon bought some shampoo, anti anxiety tabs and a rawhide and the garden department let us use their hose (shout out to Hillsboro Wal-mart garden dept!) to get him washed up.
Now we seem to have a new travelling companion at least until we can try to find his owners on Monday.
If he stays with us, his name? Lucky 13.
Great name and I love that you rescued a dog on your anniversary trip. Daisy Jane, you and your DH are good people.
I flipped out like a mammal on Grace's case worker. DME will appear this weekend. I'll believe it when I see it.
Daisy, that is crazy.
I am back from dinner and drinks with some old coworkers. Unfortunately two beer is turning into a killer headache.
Sudafed 12-hour loopiness has kick into full gear. I feel utterly stupid and glazed, but at least no longer like I'm going to throw up.
Wonder what'll happen if I try to write?
