Zoe: Yeah? Thought you'd get land crazy that long in port. Wash: Probably, but I've been sane a long while now, and change is good.

I am at the SLC airport! Snowy mountains and Mormons abound.

Enjoy your stay! It's a lovely day for it, we've had rain for the last three days. Make sure to appreciate the salty deadlands to the west of the airport as you fly over.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Poor JZ. I have so been there.

The question I always have is-- do mean people get to be bosses more often than non-mean people, or does being a boss make you mean? And then, I guess, what can we do about it?

A little of both, I guess. Though bosses do get paid to do the unpleasant tasks like disciplinary talks, I have had good bosses give those talks who weren't mean.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Huh. The sucktasticness of today continues. My date tonight had to cancel because she was in a car accident (was rear-ended). She's OK (just got out of the ER) but she's bruised and feels "pretty banged up."

Superman Faces Off Against Gotham City in Amazing Splash Page [Art]

We've linked to Ulises Farinas ("Motro") before, notably for his totally winning art of the Marvel and DC Universes in Lego, but after we saw the latest piece on his Flickr account, we knew we'd have to do it again. In the short comic, Lex Luthor infects Superman with a Starro-based "hypnotic neuro-viral" that forces him to attack Gotham City, where he faces off against the superpowered cast of characters in a totally sweet super-wide splash page that you really need to click through to see in its full, extensive glory. Check it after the jump!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Work~ma to JZ.

I just got back from a sushi lunch, and I'd totally forgotten they have a buy-one-get-one-free deal at lunch time. Semi-free sushi, yay!

On the slightly annoying side, I've had to postpone getting a haircut for the second time in a row. It's only slightly annoying because I'm trading a hair appointment this Saturday for a flight presentation and meeting potential instructors. Even right after a good cut, my hair in no way competes with the prettiness of planes.

Random Image From Yesterday: As I was driving home yesterday, I was stopped at a street light and I saw a large black crow swoop by with a white egg in its beak.

Nature most anvilicious! Crow, symbol of death, carrying egg, symbol of life.

Come on, Nature.
