In another few weeks, it will be hot enough that I'll want to cut my hair, cuing the annual poutfest from Hubby, who thinks all women should have long hair. Fortunately he's learned to pout semi-quietly, because come June, this mass of hair is coming off the back of my neck.
And no, wearing it up just increases the density of the hair on top of my head, holding in more heat. You'd think he'd realize that bit of physics. I love my hair short, the natural curl is springier, and the silvery grey streaks look so cool.
Jesse, I totally think you're not being reasonable.
You're not the boss of me!
OK, Day 2 was probably only 75% as exhausting as Day 1.
I hope the pixie cut I picked doesn't just make me look like a fat pixie.
Embrace the pixie! Mine's not quite that, but it's close, and I'm loving it. Though I'm having product issues.
I'm getting haircut next week. I'm jumping on the bandwagon and getting the Michelle Obama cut. Which is very similar to my haircuts in the past.

Then clearly Michelle Obama has in fact jumped on the Vortex bandwagon.
I just got this email from Steve, who hasn't seen my dogs since Nov of last year. This says it all:
I went to take some packages out of the back seat of my car. I swiped some leaves from the carpet and came out with a handfull of doggie hair. I almost started crying on the spot. I miss my doggies.
I didn't throw the fur out, just put it back.
See you soon.

(He's visiting me in less than two weeks...)
An amusing Amazon customer thread regarding a pharmacology textbook: "Is it Ok if I used it to bludgeon several people to death with it?"
I couldn't help it. I was studying and these annoying Chinese exchange students were nattering away.
One corner is a bit dented and blood-stained but the rest is pristine...
The thread just gets better and better as people get sillier and sillier, at which point it just becomes a series of textbook puns.

Why do people ask me for relationship advice? I have no track record !

Do any of you become enamored of something to eat, and want to eat it forever? My newest obsession is these salmon patties [link] . I can't stop eating them! A lot of my go-to recipes from after college, I never make any more, though-- they are gone from my taste buds (mainly rice/bean/cheese dishes which I used to love, but never get the hankering for anymore. I also used to make this really doctored ramen soup all the time, and I can;t imagine eating it anymore, but I gave the "recipe" to one of my students who lives on her own with not a lot of money, and she loved it.)
