"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Cash, how important is the meeting? Is it bail-able?

My weird dilemma is that Grace qualifies for 11 8-hour shifts of nursing. We are planning on using 5 shifts from 12 noon to 8 pm after Grace gets home from preschool.

The other 6 shifts are a mystery. Grace gets a feed at midnight and food at 4:00 AM and some meds at 3:00 AM. It would be most convenient to have someone do a midnight to 8 AM shift, which would mean getting her to the bus for school would be covered by the nurse too.

But we're qualmy about someone in the house overnight while we are a asleep. Weird, right? I think we're having a hard time adjusting because we hadn't planned on so much nursing, but I am not likely to say NO! because what if we need it later?

This is the issue with dealing with bureaucratic systems. That hoarding mentality.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Leo passes the healthy-kitty~ma on to Max! Hang tough, Max.

Leo's diagnosis was bacterial gasteroenteritis. He has five days' of meds to take, and I need to keep a close eye on him, but it seems he'll be okay.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Cash, how important is the meeting? Is it bail-able?

That's what I was wondering. Skip if you can though if you think Liv is really getting a fever.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am grumpy. My arm is more banged up than I'd thought and is still bothering me. I can't find the authoritative project plan. I have four file discrepancies I can't account for. Grr.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am also grumpy, perhaps because I feel like I am getting a cold, and people are dumb.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Sheesh this day has been fraught, huh? I woke up with a nosebleed and it didn`t get better from there. I had another one during class and have been completely wiped. And this is during our two days of roommate free life. I feel like I`m wasting it. We did stop on the way home for a really nice lunch at a lovely old hotel.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OMG, why is the first day so exhausting? It's not like I did anything!

May you have a big office, competant staff, and no firwalls!

Small office, no staff (not that report to me, really), but the team seems smart and competant, and I don't really know about firewalls yet, but I did check my yahoo mail, and that would be a typical thing to block, no? I don't know.

movers are moving stuff! MOVING DAY!!!!

OMG Nora and Tom!! I feel terrible that I'm not sending them off tonight, but couldn't make the timing make sense what with my need to go to bed like right now.

msbelle, this is a good site for finding recipes that use what you have: [link]

I can see the qualms conceptually, but think how awesome it would be to not have to be up in the middle of the night all the time! The night nurse is a classic.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Started yesterday with the gigantic Mother's Day brunch at my brother's place. 13 adults and 6 kids. Then took Amtrak back to DC and met G's mom for dinner. Tired now.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I bailed. It's a family support organization (I'm on the fundraising committee), so they are very forgiving. I just feel guilty.
