I'd rather stay home and watch television. It's often funnier than killing stuff.

Coding and Sleeping

Or random -- As for some, Ds for others! That will keep them on their toes.

As for some, miniature American flags for others.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I have a dilemma. I have to leave for a meeting where they are planning on having child care in an hour. Liv fell asleep awhile ago on the couch and she feels warm. Not 100% sure if she's having a fever but I suspect she is getting there. I think I need to bail on the meeting.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Our conference call center hold music is horrendous. It isn't even really music. Mind-numbing noise. I'd rather listen to a jackhammer.

I swear I hear ours in my sleep sometimes. Do not want.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Leo the Cat is home and seems much better. I am relieved. Also drinking.

“Not dead yet!”

Yay, Leo!

Yay, drinks!

Ann, that's a ferret.

Yay, Zen! I hope he also got a clean bill of health.

Sadly, no such luck for Max. He was back at the vet on Saturday, and the x-ray showed almost no improvement in one lung. He was referred to the specialist for a lung wash (basically, a water-based method of obtaining samples of whatever is clogging the lung). That was scheduled for today -- but we found out when we got to the specialist that the wash shouldn't be performed until Max has been off antibiotics for at least five days (and some specialists recommend waiting for a month!). And Max is still on Zeniquin.

So we finish off the course of antiobiotics, then wait seven days until next Wednesday.

Overall, his appetite is better, and he's more lively. But not nearly as well as he should be after three weeks on antibiotics.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Cash, how important is the meeting? Is it bail-able?

My weird dilemma is that Grace qualifies for 11 8-hour shifts of nursing. We are planning on using 5 shifts from 12 noon to 8 pm after Grace gets home from preschool.

The other 6 shifts are a mystery. Grace gets a feed at midnight and food at 4:00 AM and some meds at 3:00 AM. It would be most convenient to have someone do a midnight to 8 AM shift, which would mean getting her to the bus for school would be covered by the nurse too.

But we're qualmy about someone in the house overnight while we are a asleep. Weird, right? I think we're having a hard time adjusting because we hadn't planned on so much nursing, but I am not likely to say NO! because what if we need it later?

This is the issue with dealing with bureaucratic systems. That hoarding mentality.

Leo passes the healthy-kitty~ma on to Max! Hang tough, Max.

Leo's diagnosis was bacterial gasteroenteritis. He has five days' of meds to take, and I need to keep a close eye on him, but it seems he'll be okay.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Cash, how important is the meeting? Is it bail-able?

That's what I was wondering. Skip if you can though if you think Liv is really getting a fever.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am grumpy. My arm is more banged up than I'd thought and is still bothering me. I can't find the authoritative project plan. I have four file discrepancies I can't account for. Grr.
